Top model Adriana Lima has been working the industry hard since 1996 when she was first spotted as a potential star at the tender age of 15. Having already won several beauty pageants, this Latina love goddess won Ford's Supermodel of Brazil competition and came second in their Supermodel of the World contest the following year - which eventually got her signed with Elite Model Agency.

Adriana Lima then moved to New York to embark on a star studded career modelling for some of the best designers on catwalks all over the world. Among the big names her stunning frame has represented are Vera Wang, Giorgio Armani, Christian Lacroix, Fendi, Valentino and Ralph Lauren. With a CV listing some of the most important designers in the world it is no surprise that she has appeared within the pages of Vogue and Marie Claire many times.

As well as being on the runway and in magazines, Adriana Lima has represented a number of other high profile companies in commercials, calendars and as a spokesperson, but she is probably best known for representing Victoria's Secret, an association that started out in 2000 and continues to form a part of her busy schedule today. Fans may recognise her from some television and film appearances too, including Ugly Betty.

Strangely enough the fact that this model is usually voted in at around the 5th sexiest woman in the world, and has done several raunchy, rude and totally nude photo shoots exposing her most intimate ladies bits, she claimed to be a virgin until 2009 when she married Marko Jaric, a Serbian basketball player. Apparently she is a devout Catholic who attends church every Sunday and believes sex should be saved until after the wedding.
