Gemma Atkinson Biography

Unless you've been locked away in a cupboard for a while, you'll recognise actress and model Gemma Atkinson from UK TV hit Hollyoaks. She has also appeared in a number of other TV shows, films and music videos as well as performing in the theatre production of Calendar Girls.

Gemma Atkinson was born in Manchester in 1984 and began her acting career in 2001 in Hollyoaks playing Lisa Hunter. In 2006 she appeared in the spin-off series Hollyoaks: Let Loose and then in 2007 played the character in yet another spin off Hollyoaks: In The City. Other acting roles have included appearances in Brit flick Boogie Woogie, 13Hrs and Baseline, all in 2009.

As a commercial model she has posed in lingerie for La Senza, Ann Summers, Ultimo and the department store Debenhams. However, many of you will recognise her from photo shoots for lad's mags such as Arena, FHM, Nuts, Zoo and Maxim. The shoots between 2006 and 2009 shot Gemma Atkinson to fame as one of the most prolific celebrity glamour models in the UK. It has been announced that the model is also set to become Zoo Weekly's agony aunt, or more officially their 'sex and relationship' columnist.

It's not all flesh flashing for the beautiful and busty Brit, she is also making a name for herself as a bona fide television personality having appeared on Celebrity Weakest Link, Soapstar Superstar, I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here, Celebrity Masterchef, Celebrity Mastermind, All Star Family Fortunes and Adrenaline Junkie. You may have also spotted her in a music video for Goldie Lookin Chain.
